Hair Growth Diary Vol VII

Surprise! See anything different?

I got a haircut! I got a little tired of my single layered hair, so I went in to the beauty salon, got some layers, and trimmed my bangs a little.

To be honest, I never know what I want when I go in for a haircut.

My hairstylist knew >____> hahaha. But I decided on a v-cut and since my hair was still a little short to cut it into that shape, she trimmed it so when my hair grows out it’ll grow into a v-cut.

Here’s a picture of it, right when I left the salon.

I do believe I got my hair cut around the end of July. So, it’s definitely grown a little since then.

Here’s a side view.

And here’s a view of the back.

I haven’t done anything differently in terms of hair washing. I still use the three products I used last month. I am running low of those so I might just go back to the OGX Biotin and Collagen s/c, but we’ll see!

I did recently buy castor oil (mainly for my lashes and eyebrows) but I am thinking of doing a hair oil treatment. Still gotta do a lot of research on that, though 🙂

Here’s a final view, from the front.

Hopefully, this cut will grow into something pretty. As of today, I’m officially done with haircuts (until I need a trim, haha).

Thanks for reading!

Hair Growth Diary Vol III

The apologies, I can’t even begin.

This post will cover March, April, and May. My hair so far has grown a little longer since my post in February. Since that post, I’ve used up my OGX (the brand formerly known as Organix) and moved on to these puppies.

Not Your Mother’s Way To Grow Shampoo and Leave-In Conditioner was something I picked up from CVS. I couldn’t find the conditioner, so I just opted for the leave-in. Touted to make hair longer and stronger and with a special ingredient in the leave-in conditioner to promote hair growth, I just couldn’t resist.

At first, I loved this duo. My hair felt soft and my scalp felt clean. Overtime, my hair felt drier and I had more fall out. I shared my feelings with my bestie and she suggested washing my hair every other night (since I had previously washed my hair every night). I did that and it helped the fallout situation but nothing for the texture of my hair.

I won’t knock this out since I haven’t tried the conditioner but…I can’t bring myself to purchase these products again. The spray trigger thing, for example, broke on me. Something snapped and now it doesn’t spray as evenly as it once did.

As for actual hair growth, I can say my hair is growing. I can see it when I tie my hair up (less bobby pins needed!). Maybe this product does work and the hair dryness is just a side effect. Who knows :/ I’ve been using other miscellaneous hair products to fill in the hole NYM has left in my heart wallet.

Since then, I’ve moved onto another brand and I have to say, me likey. Me likely lots. But til then, have a good day. And see you at the end of June for another hair growth diary.

Hair Growth Diary I

20140126-201608.jpg

Hello!

Join me, if you please, on a monthly hair growth journey!

You know, the type of hair on your head.

I chopped my locks around the (near) summer time to chin/neck length and now I’m on a mission to grow out my hair.

Because I really, really miss having long hair. Yes, having really long hair that clogs shower drains. Yes, the type that will get caught in things. Yes, the type that gets to be used a neck warmer in cold weather.

I totally used my long hair as neck warmer.

But anyway, that’s the length of my hair so far – a little below my shoulders.

As far as hair products go, I am currently using Organic Biotin and Collagen shampoo and conditioner. No other products targeted for hair growth.

I should note, this duo makes my hair feel soooooo gooooood. My hair feels soft and ‘OMG-I-just-want-to-touch-my-hair-all-day’.

That’s all I have so, until next month!
